Formation of the Muslim League ( 1906 ) In December 1906. Muslim delegates from all over India met at Dacca for the Muslim Educational Conference. Taking advantage of this juncture. Nawab Salimullah of Dacca proposed the puting up of an administration to look after the Muslim involvements. The proposal was accepted. The All-India Muslim League was eventually set up on December 30. 1906. Like the Indian National Congress. they conducted one-year Sessionss and set their demands to the British authorities. Initially. they enjoyed the support of the British. Their first accomplishment was the separate electorates for the Muslims in the Minto-Morley reforms.
